Misogynistic Corporate Identity of Lactaid Milk
In advance of MLK Day honoring Dr Martin Luther King, I need to point out the double-standard in the Advertising Industry.
I haven't closely studied Dr King's teachings, but I can tell you from what I do know, that he would not have condoned prejudice against ANYONE.
The entire corporate identity of Lactaid Milk is prejudice against women & their insulting campaign has run FOR YEARS - including all during the Presidential debates of 2016. You can't turn on the TV without seeing this ad campaign.
How does this make you FEEL when you see this?
Does is make you happy?
Does it make you want to run out & get a nice, refreshing glass of milk???
Emotional Intelligence teaches us to treat others as we would like to be treated: like INDIVIDUALS.
Long before I had even heard the term Emotional Intelligence, I have followed the teaching of Zig Ziglar who created the "Feel, Felt, Found" method to put people at ease - so much so, I gave him several shout outs in my book, "Yes, I'd Like to Thank the Academy: How to Tame the Red Carpet in YOUR Office."
In October of 2017 Dove Body Wash had a tastefully-done ad pulled from the airwaves after facing swift backlash.
Is there a double-standard with respect to treatment of WOMEN???
