R-E-S-P-E-C-T: How Houstonians do Peaceful Protests
On inauguration Day, January 20, 2017, millions of women took to the streets in STUNNED DISBELIEF of what had just happened in a Peaceful Protest of what we believe to be a stolen Election. How could this happen???
Everything about the 2016 Elections from conspiracy from a hostile foreign government, to propaganda being bought by Russian Agents on Social Media, to Misogyny against a white woman, to electing the biggest bully on the planet to the highest office in our land has been so upsetting I had to do anything I can to help.
2016 was a terrible brutal year with rampant street violence all across the country with American violence against fellow Americans, followed by the disgrace of the Presidential campaign debates.
With knees knocking, terrified to be there but knowing I couldn’t sit still & do nothing, I spent Inauguration Day at Houston City Hall at the Women’s March.
This year, I will be among the dozens of Volunteer Event Marhals & am getting ready to fly out the door.
We're still here. We're not going anywhere. In 2018, we're bringing our #PowerToThePolls, beginning in Las Vegas this Sunday, the anniversary of the Women's March. Make sure you're registered to vote: text P2P to RTVOTE (788-683)! www.powertothepolls.com
While we’re voting Call your elected officials – who by the way WORK FOR US - & tell them to Ratify the Equal Rights Amendment to the US Constitution.
