Philosophy on the Unification of Politics & Theologies. Election 2020
Millions of Muslims around the World will be making their Holy Pilgrimage to Mecca today during the Hajj, while Americans of all Religious Faiths begin the Count Down to Election Day 2020 in November this year.
The rich diversity of Religions & ideas in American cultures that give flavor to Life should Unify, not divide us.
From the time of the Birth of our Nation, the American Motto has been "In God We Trust," but WHO is God???
For the entire three years I've been doing this Web Page, I've been saying it is time for Legislation officially granting Separation of Church & State in the country.
The United States of America is home to people of all Religious Faiths, not just Christian.
Christianity isn't a "paint by numbers Religion," with virtually no agreement on which Branch of Christianity is true & correct.
Think about it.
We have the two main divisions of Religious Thought - the Catholics & the Protestants.
Each of these two main Branches of Christianity are further sub-divided.
According to Google, there are at least 9 different types of Catholicism:
"In addition to the Latin, or Roman, tradition, there are seven non-Latin, non-Roman ecclesial traditions: Armenian, Byzantine, Coptic, Ethiopian, East Syriac (Chaldean), West Syriac, and Maronite. Each to the Churches with these non-Latin traditions is as Catholic as the Roman Catholic Church."
Then we get to the Protestant Christians with the Baptists, the Methodists, the Lutherans, the Episcopalians, the Mormons, the Quakers, the Seventh Day Adventists & on & on & on.
With respect to Political Parties in the US today, the two main ones are the Democrats & the Republicans.
To a lesser extent we also have the Green Party & the Libertarians.
In the 2016 Election, the Democratic Party made a valiant effort to UNIFY OUR PARTY behind our Presidential Candidate, Secretary Hillary Clinton, yet Voters failed to show up.
There are many Theories on WHY - I have a couple Theories on this subject myself.
1. The role of the Christians to sway Public Opinion
It is my belief that these are the two main Factors that kept Voters at home on Election Day.
In addition to my extreme frustration in this Country's FAILURE to ELECT OUR FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT, Separation of Church & State plus Legislation eliminating their Tax-Exempt Status could pay for things like -I don't know MAYBE UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE???
It's something to think about.
