Women Marching for Equality for All

If I thought I was worried about attending the very 1st Women's March & every subsequent March after that, there is NO Way I would put myself in any Public Protest - Peaceful or otherwise - with or without the Covid-19 Crisis.

I pray for a Peaceful Transfer of Power to the Biden Administration.

God Bless America.

Women are the only class of people NOT Federally Protected by the US Constitution. This has got to change.

Yesterday's beginning to the Women's March Weekend, saw the majority of events timed to coincide with the One-Year mark of the current Administration, with the remainder happening today, the one-year anniversary of the march. *minor correction to yesterday's post: the original march was the day after Inuaguration day, so I stand corrected on that point.

No longer a terrified participant who felt an obligation of Civic Duty to be there, I stepped up to Volunteer as a Safety Marshall After 12 months of street rioting across the country who wouldn't be apprehensive about attending a protest of any kind???

Additionally, Houston had just been in the National Spotlight for any myriad number of reasons: Hosting the Super Bowl, the World Series, & this country had just seen some unsportsman-like behavior in WINNING SPORTS TEAMS being sore WINNERS. Pardon my French, but what the Hell was THAT?

Then there's our "Chemical Coast" with all of the oil refineries which puts a huge target on our back to disrupt our oil supplies, Yes, 2016 was a frightening year for ANY & ALL OF US to even turn on the TV as if to say, "WTF - NOT AGAIN."

What occurs to me is that the City of Houston has shown that we can play nice & embrace our diversity without 'PREJUDGING" others basis on their appearance.

In fact, I would like to see this City lead the way in changing use of the word "Racism" to "Prejudice" until this ugly way of life - judging others because of how they look, can be eradicated from our National consciousness.

In other words, can people of color be Racist against White People??? Sadly, yes they can - I face the BACKLASH from this on a daily basis standing in line at the grocery store to buy a gallon of milk.

WORDS MATTER.

Let's lead the way in ending PREJUDICE OF ALL KINDS.

A good place to start would be Ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment to the US Constitution.

I will update this post shortly with. some of the images from yesterday, with a video to follow if I can get my YouTube settings right & compatibility isses worked out. The images were created with Apple, Edited with Windows & I can't get my software to play nice with each other

Fingers crossed that I can get those compatibility issues resolved & remaining images of the day uploaded here.

Have a nice day. :)
